DHL Global Mail has implemented the Salesforce.com
subscription-based customer relationship management (CRM) package
for its international operations.
DHL said 320 users around the world are using the solution to
support sales, marketing and customer service.
The system has been fully integrated into DHL’s existing SAP and
Cognos business systems, to ensure all business information is
centrally available.
Uwe Zahn, who is responsible for the planning and implementation
of the system at DHL Global Mail, said, "Traditional solutions
would have required much more implementation time. Salesforce.com
provides us with a consistent solution on an international basis,
which is strategically a significant move forward."
DHL Global Mail is part of the international mail division of
Germany’s Deutsche Post.
