Lloyds TSB has installed an online banking simulation
service from VeriSIM in an attempt to encourage more of its
customers to sign up to online banking.
Banks are using online banking to cut operational costs and
reduce pressure on their high street chains by allowing customers
to carry out basic transactions from their homes.
The VeriSIM solution allows Lloyds customers to test the bank’s
online service before registering with service.
The system also allows the bank’s staff to use the system for
training purposes to increase their knowledge about the bank’s
online services.
Matthew Timms, Lloyds TSB Internet director, said, "Lloyds TSB
has commissioned VeriSIM because its solution can demonstrate the
ease-of-use and convenience of our services to customers by
allowing them to try out the service before committing to the real
thing."
Bank of Scotland, Intelligent Finance and Standard Chartered are
also using VeriSIM.
