Next Sunday, 27 June, marks a unique opportunity for anyone
who works in IT, whether users or suppliers, to take family,
colleagues or friends to a fun, relaxed event in the company of
like-minded people.
You are all welcome at the Seventh Annual Charity IT Walk,
supported by Computer Weekly, which start and finishes in the
grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company, near Moorgate tube
station.
The event is organised by the City Livery company for IT, the
Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
You have a choice of two walks through some of the most interesting
parts of the City, returning to the Honourable Artillery Company,
where you can enjoy live jazz and cream teas.
Children are particularly welcome and there is a bouncy castle for
them in the grounds.
Several hundred people from across the IT community will be there
and all the money raised from the walk will go to the Worshipful
Company of Information Technologists Charitable Trust, which uses
the expertise of IT professionals to help the disadvantaged.
The event will also be an excellent opportunity to meet a
cross-section of the 650 or so members of the Worshipful Company of
Information Technologists and hear about the services to education
and charity the organisation performs.
