Supermarket chain Budgens has appointed a new head of IT, as it
embarks on a two-year project to upgrade its point of sale systems
across its 180 UK stores.
Mark Trevorrow, formerly operations controller at Budgens, replaces
Garry Barr, who had been IT director at the retailer since last
year.
Having joined Budgens in 1996 as a store support leader, Trevorrow
has worked in various IT positions within the company. His new
role, which will see him take charge of 20 staff, encompasses
responsibility for IT operations and IT infrastructure.
Barr said Trevorrow's previous experience at Budgens should stand
him in good stead. "With six years' experience at Budgens, Mark
brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role and he
fully understands the requirements of the company and our rapidly
developing business," he said.
