Supply-chain software developer Vigilance is releasing three
packaged versions of its event-management software, intended to
offer customers tools that can be implemented rapidly.
Vigilance's flagship supply chain event management (SCEM) Suite
3.0, released in March, allows users to manage supply chains and
track disruptions. The three new packages build on the SCEM Suite
3.0 template, adding preconfigured business rules that assist
customers in quickly deploying and using the software, according to
Vigilance.
Vigilance Supplier Management is designed to detect late supplier
shipments and product quality problems, and enable Web-based
collaboration and problem resolution between suppliers and buyers.
Vigilance Customer Management is focused on management of sales
orders, with tools to track inventories of finished goods, identify
orders at risk of shipping late and speed correction of
shipment-delaying problems.
Vigilance Production Management is designed to detect and aid in
the automated resolution of operational problems such as equipment
malfunctions, low yields and slowdowns.
The three packages are available worldwide. Vigilance Supplier
Management carries an average price of $125,000 (£85,000) for up to
20 users, including installation, training and support, Vigilance
said. Pricing for the other two packages varies based on customer
needs, according to the company.
Vigilance is also exploring the development of several more
vertical packages based on the SCEM Suite 3.0, according to
vice-president of marketing Dave Busch.
The company plans to release additional packages later this year,
including functions that may be addressed include packages for
treasury operations and to counter money-laundering, he said.
