Nortel Networks has evolved its EMEA partner programme to provide a
new generation of channels to market with the products, support and
expertise.
They will capitalise on new revenue opportunities with enterprises
and service providers.
Programme participants will be positioned to benefit from the
global presence and experience of Nortel Networks, along with an
extensive portfolio of Metro Networks products, including Optical
Metro, Voice over IP and content networking.
"Nortel Networks is at the forefront of the new converged world,"
said Ron Patterson, president, channel partners, Nortel Networks
EMEA. "We have evolved this programme to address the changing needs
of our channels and their customers. It is designed to improve
time-to-market and to provide technical and competitive advantage
for enterprises and service providers."
The programme now includes a 'multi-tier' relation-ship model and
accreditation scheme designed to maximise the special skills and
expertise of each participant. Programme participants will be able
to select specific products or solutions based on existing skills
sets and business plans. They may, for example, be designated as a
solutions partner in an area of existing skills, while electing to
be a sales partner in other areas they wish to develop.
"This new programme further strengthens NCR's global relationship
with Nortel Networks," said Andy Powell, EMEA marketing director,
worldwide customer services, NCR. "As a Specialist Support Partner
in the European optical marketplace, we can jointly deliver
best-of-breed technologies and services aligned with the business
needs of our mutual customer base. This programme will become a
strategic channel for providing our IT infrastructure services to
enterprises and service providers throughout Europe."
Nortel Networks is an industry leader and innovator focused on
