The management team of outsourcing specialist Digica is buying the UK and US operations of parent company DCS Group for £23.3m.

Private equity house Bridgepoint Capital has provided the money for the buyout. Digica claims there will be sufficient capital to fund a European expansion plan.

As part of the deal, Richard Last will become chief executive. "For our customers, employees and suppliers alike, independence from the DCS Group will allow us to focus on enhancing our position in the growing outsourcing market," Last said in a statement.

Digica currently has 175 employees, based in the UK and the US. The company describes itself as a specialist in mid-range and desktop outsourcing. As well as a services arm, Digica has recently entered the ASP market.

The company offers ASP hosting services to software vendors who want to provide their own applications and services on a subscription basis.
