Oracle has launched an online portal that it claims could enable
firms to get their e-business portals up and running "in minutes",

The Oracle.com portal, based on the 9i Application Server and
database, will offer a hosted version of the company's Web based
e-business software suite. Users will be able to download
applications and access services from over 20 companies.
Oracle said companies will be able to get their e-business
portals "up and running within minutes" because they will not have
to install or configure software.
The portal is designed to manage a company's e-business
infrastructure and performance, including security, while the user
controls the content and interface.
