The Association of Technology Staffing Companies (ATSCo) is to
join the ranks of on-line recruiters with an internet jobs site for
the IT and Comms recruitment industry.
The service, which is expected to launch next month, will
feature vacancies posted by ATSCo's 47 member companies only,
including the 2000 Group, Apex Computer Recruitment, Computer
People, Lorien and Monroe Systems.
According to chief executive, Ann Swain, the service will
complement, rather than replace any online recruitment facilities
already offered by its member agencies. "The main reason for
establishing our own site is that our members wanted something that
would set them apart from other recruitment companies that perhaps
do not adhere to a code of conduct like they, as ATSCo members,
do," she explains.
The site will be non-profit making and will donate 10 pence from
every job advertisement posted on its board each week to the NSPCC
(National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children), for
which ATSCo has already raised considerable funds.
In addition to permanent and contract vacancies, Swain says the
site will feature information and advice for people in the
industry, as well as news pieces and regular ATSCo updates.
