More than nine out of 10 connections to the internet in the UK are now via broadband, says the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

In March 2008, broadband connections accounted for 91.6% of all internet connections, up from 90% in December 2007.

Dial-up connections continued to decline and accounted for just 8.4% of all internet connections in March 2008.
