IBM has filled some gaps in its product offering for integrating applications as part of a service oriented-architecture (SOA) model.
An SOA model allows companies to more easily change and improve applications in line with their business demands, and usually involves the use of web-based services.
IBM has enhanced its WebSphere Business Monitor, to help track the performance of business processes using SOA-based applications.
In addition, the company has launched WebSphere Integration Developer, an Eclipse open-source-based tool for writing programs that link SOA applications to a business process.
IBM also unveiled the WebSphere Process Server for supporting SOA development.
