Police in the US have arrested a Florida man for an alleged Wi-Fi hack.

The man was arrested for allegedly using someone else’s home Wi-Fi network while sitting in his car with a laptop PC.

The home owner noticed the man outside his home using his laptop and called police.

The alleged hacker faces a pre-trial hearing later this month, after being charged with unauthorised access to a computer network.

It is not known whether the Wi-Fi network owner had tried to secure his network from such hacks, with the use of passwords or encryption.
