CA has integrated its Siteminder and Single Sign-On products to provide users with seamless single sign-on across the extended enterprise.

The company said the integrated products will support web, client/server, mainframe and federated environments, enabling businesses to reduce costs, strengthen security and facilitate adherence to regulatory compliance.

CA Siteminder provides a centralised security infrastructure for managing user authentication and access across internal and external websites. CA Single Sign-On provides simplified and secure end-user access to legacy applications, databases and client/server applications.

The integration of the two products is part of CA's strategic roadmap for a complete, integrated and open identity and access management architecture.

Bill Bartow, senior vice-president of identity and access management at CA said, "The extension of single sign-on across multiple platforms, organisations and generations of business systems provides tremendous value to both end-users and security administrators."
