Telecoms managed services provider TeleWare has signed a project with the Spirit Group, the UK's leading independent managed pub retailer with 2,000 pubs nationwide, supported by a team of 45,000.
Under the terms of the deal, the TeleWare product will support the improvement of working lifestyles for both office-based and field staff while lowering ongoing operational overheads. Key drivers for the Spirit Group in signing the deal were service improvement and cost reduction.
In support of this, TeleWare will provide the Spirit Group with an audio conferencing platform to support enhanced communications for the Spirit Teams, with the aim of reducing markedly the group's current conferencing overhead incurred through the bureau style service used presently.
TeleWare will also provide a unified communications service for consolidated mobile e-mail, voice mail and fax retrieval on the same platform, enabling those staff on the move to have access to all their messaging media at any time.
This will be implemented with plans to move the present mobile voicemail facilities to a central TeleWare server in the future, further reducing the Spirit Group's operational costs.
TeleWare and the Spirit Telecoms Team have jointly architected the product and built a return on investment justification based on an open architecture product that will leverage the existing network.
