ISS adds spyware appliances

Internet Security Systems boosts portfolio

Internet Security Systems has added two new models to its Proventia line of intrusion prevention appliances, which include network spyware blocking and improved policy management.

The Proventia G400 and Proventia G2000 anti-spyware capabilities are in response to other providers starting to incorporate spyware security in their offerings, as spyware malware becomes an increasing problem for enterprises.

The G400 costs £20,550 and the more powerful G2000 costs £53,330.

With the new models spyware is blocked at the network level, so preventing connected PCs from becoming infected via user downloads.

The appliances also allow network administrators to control prevention policies at either a port or via an IP address or individual device.
