Tobacco firm implements pay review software
British American Tobacco has adopted pay review software to manage its annual pay review processes.

The company will initially use the web application HRM Connect, to manage pay review information for more than 1,500 UK-based employees.
British American Tobacco also plans to roll out the software to other international locations including Australia and South Korea.
HRM Connect will replace its existing Excel based spreadsheet which it has previously used to manage the pay review process within British American Tobacco. This involves creating and distributing individual departments spreadsheets containing the information needed to support pay review.

With the new system, managers log on via their browser to a secure password-protected intranet site and can access information tailored to their group profile. Review proposals are then automatically routed through British American Tobacco’s approval process.
