Two mass mailing e-mail viruses which spread messages in support of the Fathers for Justice campaign have been discovered by anti-virus supplier Sophos.
Mirsa-A and Mirsa-B worms arrive as an attached file in an e-mail and attempt to spread a message.
The e-mails containing the Mirsa-A variant pretend the attachment is a CV and the Mirsa-B worm is delivered under the guise of work related subjects such as "Memorandum to all staff", "Urgent Document" and "Extremely important".
If the e-mail is opened the worm will e-mail itself to addresses found in the Windows address book and copy itself into files on the infected user’s hard drive.
The worms also attempt to drop a section of text onto the hard drive and create a file on the desktop called Fathers4Justice.txt which contains text in support of the group and an internet link to the Fathers for Justice website.
