Iomega enhances Nas storage to 1.6Tbytes

Iomega has released additions to its network-attached storage line with the Nas 400, a rack-mounted Nas family featuring faster processors and improved storage of up to 1.6Tbytes. The products are aimed at smaller businesses. The company plans to migrate its Nas line to power-users and home workers.

Network Intelligence has extended its security event management tool, Envision 2.1, adding asset correlation, management filtering, bulk modification, inventory reports and device support to improve network and security device management.

Javvin Technologies has released a new version of its Packet Analyzer, a network protocol analyser and troubleshooting tool for network engineers and administrators. The analyser debugs new network applications and monitors network traffic for performance, bandwidth usage and security.

Pipex launches VoIP service for businesses

Pipex has launched a managed voice over IP service that enables business users to make calls and access the internet via the Pipex broadband network. The service, called VoIP for Business, combines a high-speed internet connection and IP telephony with in-built security and extensive private branch exchange functionality.

Altiris quarantine tool manages virtual Lans

IT lifecycle management company Altiris has introduced a network quarantine product for securing corporate IT infrastructures. The Altiris Deployment Solution for Network Devices allows network managers to provision, modify, back-up and delete virtual Lans and migrate between switches. It also offers back-up device configurations via TFTP and management for switch ports.
