The Irish Independent this week joined the Independent, Daily Telegraph, Glasgow Herald and News Quest in offering an online subscription service for PDAs.
The Irish Independent service, based on technology from payment processing firm WorldPay, will help the paper to reach new audiences, according to Mark Lawlor, managing director of independent.ie and the company's multi-publication portal unison.ie.
