Health and beauty retailer Superdrug has outsourced the IT support for its 700 UK stores to IT services company Computeraid Services, in a bid to cut costs and help it concentrate on core business activities.

As part of the three-year multi-million pound deal, Computeraid will provide maintenance support services and end-user support to Superdrug's nationwide network of stores, including the provision of a permanent onsite engineer based at the company's headquarters in Croydon, south London.

"We need to be certain that we have the support structure in place to service our IT requirements swiftly and expertly with minimum disruption to daily business," said Andrew Busby, IT service manager at Superdrug.

"Outsourcing our IT requirements will enable us to develop our business by concentrating on our core activities and our customers," he added.
