BT has restored services after customers were left without broadband access following a fire at its West End exchange in central London.
The blaze also left shops in central London unable to process credit card payments, affecting Christmas sales.
The electrical fire was caused by water from premises next to BT, the company said.
BT is pleased to confirm that power has now been restored and all services are now working again. The specialist BT Incident Response Team that managed the Incident is now being stood down, a spokesman from the company said.
"Should customers experience residual service problems over the next few days, they should report them as normal through their service providers," he added.
