Google adds presentation software to Google Docs

Google has added presentation software to its Google Docs hosted office productivity application.

The software is designed to help users create simple web-based presentations which can be updated and shared across the internet.

The web-based, collaborative presentation software enables multiple users to view a set of slides while a moderator controls the presentation in a similar way to the WebEx online collaborative environment.

Using the presentation software in Google Docs, users can create and keep presentations in one place on the web that is accessible anytime, from any computer that is connected to the internet. Presentations can be updated and shared by using e-mail invitation. Different users are also able to contribute at different times to the same presentation on the web.
