Oracle databases get new PHP solution

A PHP scripting product for Oracle databases has been launched by Zend.

PHP, an open-source scripting language, allows computers to generate complex web pages on the fly.

The Zend Core for Oracle software is free, but Zend charges for support at £129 per server up to 30 servers, plus lesser per-item amounts for greater numbers of servers.

Zend already sells the Core product for IBM's DB2 and Cloudscape databases.

Zend Core for Oracle runs on Linux, Sun's Solaris and IBM's AIX version of Unix. Zend is beta-testing Windows versions of Core.
