US Department of Defence hacker arrested

A Venezuelan man has been arrested for allegedly hacking into US Department of Defence (DoD) servers in 2001.

A Venezuelan man has been arrested for allegedly hacking into US Department of Defence (DoD) servers in 2001.

The man was arrested at Miami airport by agents from the DoD's Defence Criminal Investigative Service.

He has been charged with unlawfully accessing a government computer and on another count of causing intentional damage to a computer.

The man is accused of defacing the website of the DOD's Defence Information Systems Agency (DISA). 

He is also charged with deleting logging in information from DISA computers, meaning some personnel couldn’t gain access to system
