The results of the largest ever survey, backed by Computer Weekly, of IT professionals will be announced at the Building Britain's Brainpower conference on 11 February at the Royal Institution.

The Real Time Club Foresight Associate Programme, Scale 21, was set up to identify the underlying skills that people need to succeed in the IT industry.

Early findings, released exclusively to Computer Weekly, indicate that IT is not just recruiting individuals who fill the usual stereotype of the socially awkward nerd.
