Integrating Active RFID with legacy systems

With 2008 expected to be the year when RFID takes off (honestly, though I know you may have heard this before....) one of the issues that's going to come to the fore is the integration of RFID data with legacy systems.

This article in IT Toolbox blogs sums up the issue, and suggests some solutions.

If integration with legacy systems is one issue, what are the other problems you're coming across in tackling RFID? And what are you still hoping for RFID-wise in 2008? More standards? Cheaper tags? A better ROI proposition? A more RFID-aware boss - or Board? Please let me know your thoughts.....
