RFID costs counter pharma's anti-counterfeit drive

Interesting article by IDTechEx on how the Food and Drug Administration's backing off from a fast-track approach to RFID has left the pharmaceutical industry at greater risk of counterfeiting.

Once again, the cost of RFID has been cited as a drawback against widespread adoption, despite the pharmaceutical industry's need to prevent the growth of a fake drugs industry, whose 'products' not only affect pharmaceutical companies' reputations and finances, but more importantly, can harm patients' health.
