Clarity (2)

Choices that take the business of IT into the next business age

From Clive in Guildford

This Clarity thing is critical - it runs across everything - yes, if what you are doing does not help the vision don't do it - also, be absolutely clear of everyone's top THREE (no more) responsibilities, and be equally clear on people's decision making freedom and authority, especially where customers are concerned.

Please send me your best examples of success - of your own actions that work, way way beyond mere "best practice" - Together, we will form a network that helps each other - and that changes the future shape of IT - simply by sharing real experience that works, we will together build up a database of the best of the best, available to all. Please post as a comment or e-mail me davidprivate@nkdleader.com - if you e-mail me, anonymity is a given. Thank you.

Life and Leadership

Also from Clive::

Re Laura's tip yesterday, on bravery - now and again go out of your way to make the other person "right" about something. Now, that takes bravery

Please send me your best examples of success in your personal life - in your family - in your relationships. What helps make you feel confident that you can share with others, for example? - Together, we will form a network that helps each other - simply by sharing real experience that works, we will together build up a database of the best of the best, available to all.
