The bleeding obvious

At the Gartner symposium conference in Orlando they said that because people outside of IT departments are now installing their own Software and Internet solutions it is time for CIOs to re-assess the role of their functions.

As my teenage daughter might say - DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH

CIOs have had to address this challenge for years - best way to do it - be facilitator for the organisation, setting values, standards and being advisors. How? Build trusted relationships throughout your organisation, so that business peers come to you for the solution, not with the solution.

How can I help you? How can we help each other? Whatever your IT leadership question, challenge or vision, e-mail me to be anonymous - david@nakedleader.com or post as a comment. I will find out the most powerful how-to - exactly what to do, how and when. That is my promise to you - that is the IT Deal. Thank you. David

Misc fact: Book is written simultaneously in two styles - a left brain business book and a right brain story - very clever and highly readable
