Communication - Business and Personal - 8 of 10

9 of 10 - Business (can also be used in personal!)

When you are given a speaking slot, or a time period to make a point or in an agenda item in a meeting - overrun, and pretend not to notice.

Genius! You are telling everyone that not only don't they matter and that in your world, only you exist, and better than that, you are demonstarting a complete inability to read or tell the time.

9 of 10 - Personal (can also be used in business!)

When you walk into the lounge and your child / children are watching something just say something like "What's this rubbish?" and, when you want to watch TV and they are hogging it -say "we pay for the licence you know" - this really alienates them, because they don't have the money to pay for the licence!

As an alternative - take a genuine interest in the programme they are watching, or their music.

Still, your children, your choice.
