T-Mobile picks Software AG for IT governance

T-Mobile has signed an agreement with Software AG to help develop the mobile operator's IT governance tools and methodology.

The project is part of T-Mobile's strategy to accelerate the introduction of new products and tariffs using service oriented architecture (SOA) and business process management (BPM) tools from Software AG.

The IT governance co-operation agreement covers the UK, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.

T-Mobile said an important component of the agreement was the establishment of a joint competence centre in Bonn and Darmstadt.

IT architects and research and leading research and development employees from both companies will work together on the implementation of T-Mobile's SOA and BPM strategy.
