Saint-Gobain signs deal with Cognizant

Building materials firm Saint-Gobain Building Distribution (SGBD) has signed a deal with outsourcer Cognizant to overhaul its business processes.

Building materials firm Saint-Gobain Building Distribution (SGBD) has signed a deal with outsourcer Cognizant to overhaul its business processes.

Cognizant will also assist SGBD UK to select a technical platform to support the company's financial and core business processes.

SGBD would not disclose the deal value or contract length.

Chris Kenward, finance director of SGBD UK and Ireland, said Cognizant had the right capabilities to liaise with its business stakeholders across the company's 18 brands and 900 branches.SGBD owns brands such as Jewson, Solaglas and Artex.

The deal follows Cognizant's latest results of a 43% year-on-year increase in sales to $1.2bn for its latest financial quarter.
