Vodafone is continuing its attempt to win market share from leading push e-mail system Blackberry, with the launch of its latest Nokia business handset.

Equipped with the Vodafone Business Email system, the Nokia E61 is designed to present business customers with a simplified and integrated push e-mail experience, said Vodafone.

The E61 has a QWERTY keyboard, 3G network connectivity, and a large user memory, while also providing the type of business applications found on a personal digital assistant (PDA).

Vodafone says the device offers IT departments a simplified set-up and advanced security.

There is also improved support for e-mail attachments, and automatic over the air synchronisation of contacts and calendars.
