International Computers Limited has launched Meridio 4, the latest version of the enterprise-scalable electronic document and records management (EDRM) software for Microsoft platforms.
Meridio 4 has been designed to address enterprise records management, e-mail management and legislative compliance requirements.
It aims to comply with the 2002 requirements for electronic records management systems published by UK The National Archives (formerly the Public Record Office).
ICL Solutions Business Unit manager Kethan Parbhoo says unlike traditional EDRM solutions, which have been high-risk, and involved major ICT infrastructure investment, Meridio 4 builds on the proven approach of successful mass-deployment solutions behind the Microsoft Office System.
"Meridio 4 is based on the Microsoft .net platform, and provides the closest integration with Microsoft technology, enabling organisations to integrate their existing information sources seamlessly and securely," he said.
"Users can access the full functionality of the Meridio records management solution via familiar Microsoft tools, maximising adoption and reducing training overheads."
Meridio 4 aims to bring together all sources and distribution channels of organisational information into a single enterprise-wide platform, enabling complete control of information through all stages of its lifecycle, from creation to disposal.
