People working in the IT industry, whether users or suppliers, rarely have an opportunity to take our families, colleagues or friends to a fun, relaxed event with like-minded individuals.

On Sunday 27 June, everyone is welcome to just such an occasion, starting from the grounds of one of the most exclusive venues in London, the Honourable Artillery Company, near Moorgate tube station.

The event, the seventh annual charity walk, is organised by the City livery company for IT, the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, and is supported by Computer Weekly.

You have a choice of two walks through some of the most interesting parts of the City of London, returning to the starting point where a jazz band will be playing and cream teas will be available. Children are particularly welcome and a bouncy castle will be laid on for them.

Several hundred people are expected and all money raised from the walk will go to the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists' Charitable Trust, which draws on the expertise of IT professionals to help disadvantaged people.
