Eden Project swaps trowels for terabytes with Second Life

The Eden Project is entering the virtual world of Second Life with its latest project, called The Edge. Second Lifers can visit the project and see a simulated version of the eco development featuring palm trees, souks, caverns and meeting places.

The virtual space will act as a preview of what will be built for the real-world Edge project, which will showcase cutting-edge technology. The project will harvest water and energy from the sun, wind and rain to show how we might live more sustainably in the future.
