Belgian brewer InBev has awarded LogicaCMG a five-year £48.6m outsourcing contract.

The company, whose brands include Stella Artois, Beck's, Leffe and Skol, said LogicaCMG would manage the business systems for its western European and global headquarters.

InBev said the contract - which covers its entire application environment in Belgium, the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Ireland and Luxembourg - would streamline its end-to-end application management processes.

The contract is part of an IT rationalisation process at the brewer. Last year it awarded BT a £122m, seven-year contract to manage its worldwide communications infrastructure.

It also awarded IBM a £170m contract for the management of its IT infrastructure in more than 25 countries around the world.
