Free security for Vista Beta

CA is offering users of Microsoft’s Windows Vista Beta 2 operating system a free trial subscription of its eTrust EZ Antivirus program.

The one-year CA trial includes daily virus updates and unlimited 24-hour web support, said CA.

David Luft, CA senior vice-president of product development, said, “We have been busy readying our security software products to support the Windows Vista platform.”

Microsoft vice-president Mike Sievert said, “To enable a positive testing experience with Beta 2, it is important that the right protections are in place.”
