Total Message Management supplier FrontBridge Technologies has launched Active Disaster Recovery (ADR), an always-on managed service that enables full use of e-mail during primary e-mail system outages.
The FrontBridge service, which the company says is revolutionary, is claimed to go beyond traditional e-mail disaster recovery, not only guaranteeing e-mail delivery via queuing, but also full e-mail productivity - including sending, receiving, reading and composing.
FrontBridge says its ADR delivers a number of primary benefits: full use of e-mail, including composing, sending, and reading; access to a rolling 30-day historical e-mail store; flow-controlled message synchronisation and queuing to the primary e-mail system for disaster recovery
“Business comes to a standstill when e-mail systems are unavailable,” said Dan Nadir, vice-president of product management for FrontBridge Technologies. “FrontBridge is the first managed service provider to not only guarantee e-mail availability but also e-mail productivity.
"In the event of a scheduled or emergency e-mail system outage, an administrator does not have to declare a disaster, providing instant access to a secure web interface for full e-mail continuity, guaranteeing not a second of productivity is lost.”
