System assurance company VEGA Group has won two
contracts from the UK's Identity and Passport Service (IaPS), and
the Police Information Technology Organisation (PITO).
The IaPS contract is for three years and covers risk analysis
and management, accreditation of document sets, and IT health
checks – including technical assurance and system penetration
testing.
The contract covers the security requirements across all nine of
IaPS’ major sites.
The IT security framework contract with PITO also runs for three
years and involves VEGA providing security health check services
for police forces and other crime-related organisations.
Each police force in England and Wales is required to have at
least one annual health check of its IT and other related security
support services.
