Novell is to join the list of companies that will
implement Business Process Execution Language (BPEL), a web
services choreography specification now being reviewed by the Oasis
standards organisation.
The specification, which is also known as Business Process
Execution Language for Web Services (BPEL4WS), is intended to
provide a way to describe business processes constructed as a
collection of web services and automate web services
interactions.
Microsoft, IBM, BEA Systems and SAP are among the companies
supporting the standard. Novell will implement BPEL in a future
release of Novell exteNd Composer Process Manager, a business
process manager that ships with Novell's web application
development suite, Novell exteNd.
