Peregrine Systems is rolling out a new property asset management
system and a new fleet management suite at its annual user
conference.
The new property asset management system allows users to maximise
the value of existing workspace by ensuring that their property
portfolio matches their business need, said Nancy Sanist, director
of real estate and facility management at Peregrine.
The suite supports contract and project management. It also offers
integrated business intelligence and workflow management.
"You can drive down the cost of owning and operating a property by
eliminating unnecessary expenditures," Sanist said. "You can reduce
the total asset costs by effectively managing all contracts and
processes. You can get from a 15% to 20% improvement in
productivity."
For example, the system can provide a view of the space available
to enable a customer to make informed decisions on how space should
be used and the cost of use.
The new Transportation 5.0 is an integrated suite for fleet, rail,
and equipment asset and maintenance management designed to allow
companies to reduce operational expenses by streamlining processes
such as work orders, fuel transactions, and inventory management.
In addition, the new suite allows companies to manage their
maintenance schedules more effectively, said Meg Davis, Peregrine's
director of product marketing for transportation products.
"Our customers across a variety of industries have the ability to
use multiple products [and] run them off the same database,
reducing their database administration time," she said. "It reduces
their training time and makes them more productive overall. The ROI
is in reducing inventory costs, reducing labour costs, and
increasing warranty recovery."
