Pension scheme provider Rowanmoor Pensions has signed a three-year contract with ADS Portal to supply a complete computing environment for the company.
Rowanmoor will roll out ADS Portal’s Online Desktop service to more than 200 users. The service offers a secure computing environment that delivers software applications and business data over any connection including the internet.
Ian Hammond, managing director of the self-administered pension scheme specialist, said, “Rowanmoor didn’t want the burden of running its own IT infrastructure. We needed a reliable IT system that would provide us with the flexibility to add new users as our business grows, but within a defined budget. Due to the nature of our business, we also needed a system that provided extreme levels of data security and business continuity.”
He added that the firm was expecting to save £200,000 a year by outsourcing its IT provision through ADS Portal’s subscription-based service.
Under the three-year deal, ADS Portal will deliver computing facilities including Microsoft’s Office productivity suite and Outlook e-mail software, along with line of business applications such as SSAS Pro. It will also provide free helpdesk support.
