Oracle has improved its JD Edwards World applications with new compliance and self-service options.
With the A7.3 Service Pack 16, Oracle has improved functionality for cashflow reporting, improved audit trails within the general ledger, updated batch headers and added an approval process in accounts payable.
Oracle said the additions would help JD Edwards World customers comply with regulatory mandates such as Sarbanes-Oxley, and gain increased insight into financial reporting practices and internal controls.
Also, self-service applications are now included in the basic JD Edwards World web services product, giving companies' customers real-time, 24-hour access to purchasing and order status information over the internet through an intuitive interface.
Employee self-service features provide direct access to financial and human resources information, which includes payroll, benefits and holiday status.
