In June BEA will give details of a new line of application development products aimed at business managers rather than developers, which will allow them to create applications without writing any code.
The tools, designed for business process managers, will enable them to rapidly compose, deploy, secure and manage "composite" applications across heterogeneous platforms and technologies without writing code.
The concept is based on an service-oriented architecture, and the new products will centre on the existing WebLogic family as well as newly developed technology that the company has been working on.
The new category of software will include features such as a messaging backbone, data and system integration, and distributed security. It also features an integrated configuration environment and metadata user-interface framework.
BEA said that enterprise IT architects and business process, data and security experts will benefit from the code-free system.
