Iconium has developed a corporate information management methodology for the centralised distribution of policies and procedures to employees and other parties.
Called Policy Manager 2, the new methodology is designed for the creation, distribution to staff and maintenance of corporate policies, procedures and other standard documentation.
Distribution is according to individual job profiles. A key feature of Policy Manager 2 is the recording of recipients’ compliance actions. It is template driven and, as a result of being a web-based methodology, it overcomes organisational structural issues of department or geography.
The system uses Microsoft’s web services technology .NET and the first customers are expected in December after the full roll-out of the product this autumn, says Iconium.
In cases of compliance, the user is required to "tick the box" to denote acceptance and understanding of a policy or procedure. There is also a multiple-choice question capability to underline understanding where required.
The product costs £365 a month for up to 100 users. This is for a three-year licence and includes server software and templates.
