A preview of the new version of Microsoft Small Business Server ‘Aurora’ is available for download, which can be accessed on premise and remotely.
Microsoft is pitching the server to small businesses with fewer than 25 users, in a bid to increase its share of the SME market.
Aurora will enable users to set automatic, daily backups of every computer and server on the network and utilise files and documents when they’re away from the office.
“We’re really excited about the release of Aurora as we are able to offer our small business customers the chance to run critical applications on a stable and reliable platform,” said commented Gareth Hall, windows server product manager, Microsoft UK.
