SAP tempts outsourcers away from PeopleSoft

SAP is extending its Safe Passage maintenance and migration scheme to business process outsourcing service providers looking to move from PeopleSoft and JD Edwards applications.

The company launched Safe Passage earlier this year after Oracle completed its takeover of PeopleSoft to tempt PeopleSoft and JD Edwards enterprises to SAP software by promising them savings on their licences.

SAP is hoping the extension of its Safe Passage programme will interest enterprises that want to migrate to SAP but don’t wish to buy and manage the licences themselves.

The BPO service provider extension will apply a different cost formula to the enterprise package.
