Tracking data centre assets with Active RFID

My last post talked about Ford putting an asset tracking solution in its vehicles. Perhaps a more IT 'must-have' solution is the option to track assets in the data centre through RFID.

Texas-based RF Code has come up with a solution that will allow real-time tracking of rack-level assets within the data centre. Here are a couple of reports of the Active RFID tag-based application, from Server Watch and RFID Journal
