UK trials Nose ID on 72 nostrils

The bods at Bath University certainly like to sniff out their research. The humam nose is unique and makes a brilliant biometric. Technically speaking, by combined the curvature of the ridge with the ratios of the tip and nasion widths and ridge length, they were able to distingish between the noses of 36 people. Dr Adrian Evans at Bath says, “Noses are easier to photograph and are harder to conceal.” So just another 56 million or so noses to photograph then…
